Councils saving money

In addition to drive carefully, there are other ways to lower your premiums.

* Increase your deductibles. A deductible is the amount you pay predetermined for all incidents reported losses. If you raise your deductible, premiums are declining. While this saves you money in premiums, if the loss is reported, you will have the ability to better cover the damage or the cost of replacing yourself. Raising a franchise is a personal choice and one that should be discussed with your representative of Aon.
* Drop unnecessary coverage. If you have an old car, you can choose to delete the collision. Without collision coverage, you will not receive any compensation for losses related to the collision. It is also an option that should be discussed with your representative of Aon.
* Complete a course in driver's education. Some companies lower premiums if new drivers complete a course of education or the driver of a "B" or better student.
* Multi-car loans are available. If you have more than one vehicle, or more than one policy with the same insurance company, you may be eligible for discounts.
* Inform provider of security devices. Some insurance providers offer credits for safety devices such as car alarms, air bags, passive restraint systems, and mature-driver classes.
* Ask about group programs. Reductions are also available under group programs through Aon Group Advantage Program. [For more information, see "Aon Group Advantage."]
